Which Students are Best Suited for the Course?

Not everyone is well-suited for this course therefore, before enlisting for it, it is best if students check out the eligibility criteria instead of later realising that the course is not for them.
One of the most important criteria for this course is that the student should have passed his 12th standard with at least 50 percent and with mathematics being one of the subjects taken. In many cases though, the criteria is relaxed even more and colleges are willing to take students who do not have a Physics, Chemistry and Maths background.
Most institutes usually hold an entrance exam and take students on the basis of merit. In addition to that, colleges may sometimes have a personal interview to gauge the ability of the students.

Scope of Having a BCA degree

The scope for BCA students isn’t limited. Students can easily get jobs in software companies that are opening up all around the state. At the same time, having these skills also leaves self-employment as a worthy option. If you have just completed 12th standard, either you want to study further or start working immediately now is the right time to pave your career path. I bet reading this blog post will educate you about at least 1 or 2 careers you weren’t aware of. Aviation industry brings along a wide range of careers from ground crew to pilot. You can have an amazing career in Aviation or Airport Management if you can manage to pursue a course from top college. If you want to know more about Best BBA Aviation & Airport Management colleges, check out the articl. Careers in aviation industry can be broadly classified into four sectors
  1. Pilot
  2. Cabin crew/Air Hostess
  3. Engineer/Technician
  4. Management/ office jobs

Pilot

Everybody knows what a pilot does. He/she flies air crafts. If flying has been your dream, commit yourself to fetch a pilot license. There’s no alternate route here. It’s a good thing though. At least you don’t have to break your head to choose the best route. All you need to do is walk the path. If you have passed 12th, you’re all set to start training for a pilot license. Here is some necessary information you need to know before you get started.
You can either become a private pilot or a licensed commercial pilot to fly commercial/ defense aircraft. Whatever your goals are, attaining a PPL (Private Pilot Licence) is the first and foremost step to get you started as a pilot. Even before beginning training, you need to get a class 2 medical certificate approved by DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation). With several hours of training and upon passing practical and theory exams (conducted by DGCA), you are all set to claim a PPL. Depending on the training school, PPL training may cost you anywhere between 5 Lakhs to 9 Lakhs INR.
However, if you want to become a commercial pilot, you need to get a CPL (Commercial Pilot License). PPL and class 1 medical certificate are the prerequisites to start training for CPL. Training includes a minimum of 200 hours of flight and theory classes. To get certified as a commercial pilot, you need to clear all the practical and theory exams. If everything goes smoothly without any obstructions, you can complete the course by 18 months. It costs you a fortune to get trained as a commercial pilot. It Costs around 20 Lakhs to 40 Lakhs for a regular CPL course and 90 Lakhs to 1 crore for a cadet program. Upon unfreezing ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence), you’ll get promoted as a captain (Of course, you will have to spend a lot to get to this point.)
Even as a fresher you can earn at least 60,000 INR per month. As an experienced pilot, you can earn an average salary of 1.5 Lakhs per month.

Job Roles As A Pilot

  1. Captain
  2. Senior first officer
  3. First officer/co-pilot
  4. Test Pilot
  5. Second officer
  6. Cadet Pilot
  7. Helicopter Pilot

Cabin Crew/Air Hostess

While the pilots fly the passengers safely, who is to take care of the passengers’ needs and safety during the flight? One of the primary responsibilities of the cabin crew is to ensure and assure the safety of passengers. They demonstrate how to use the safety and emergency equipment in case of emergency and ensure passengers seat belts are fastened. Besides serving and selling beverages and meals, attending to emergency medical care and other passengers needs is one of their primary duties. Coming to salary, as an air hostess, you can earn anywhere between 20K INR to 2 Lakhs per month.
If you want to be one of them, make sure satisfy all the eligibility criteria mentioned below.
  • Minimum 18 years old. (For few airlines it is 19 — twenty for a few others. However, the min age limit is never beyond 21. This doesn’t mean you can’t apply for the job if you’re 22 or beyond.)
  • 12th pass (Degree preferred)
  • Certified as medically fit by DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation)
  • No visible tattoo and body piercing
  • No unusual hairstyle (unnatural hair colors like purple and green are not accepted) or make-up

An air hostess must be an excellent communicator.
Being Attentiveness and safety conscious is extremely important, especially because passengers’ safety is solely cabin crew’s responsibility
An air hostess job is not glamorous all the time. To survive as an air hostess, you need to be physically strong. The job requires you to push, pull and lift heavy luggage. Walk and stand for long hours Customer Service Skills
If you satisfy all the criteria mentioned above and serious about pursuing your career as a cabin crew, then I think should rather be busy preparing a killing CV and looking out for interviews.
